Why We Exist
Across the Philippines, farm-gate prices for palay have fallen as low as ₱8 per kilo, while the cost of growing that same kilo sits closer to ₱14. With import volumes running high, harvests go unsold and farming families are left negotiating from a position of real hardship. For some households, the consequences have been tragic.
Kalabaw Harvest International OÜ exists as a practical response. We commit to purchase volumes ahead of harvest at a price that covers production and leaves a genuine margin for the farming household — then carry the crop through to the European market ourselves, so the value stays with the people who grew it.
